Andrew Cuomo's ex Kerry Kennedy 'slept in locked bathroom' when he was at home, claims NY guv's biographer
As New York governor Andrew Cuomo continues to be under fire for a long list of sexual harassment allegations, new, shocking claims about his relationship with his ex-wife Kerry Kennedy have come to the fore.
Cuomo's biographer Michael Shnayerson recently revealed that during their divorce, his ex-wife Kerry slept in a lockdown bathroom when he was home. This latest news comes as Cuomo has now been accused of sexual harassment by seven women.

In a recent article for Vanity Fair, as the biographer recounted a life on reporting on Cuomo and shelling out telling excerpts and additional reporting from his 2015 Cuomo biography 'The Contender', Shnayerson claimed the governor has a history of physical abuse going back to his wife.
Physical abuse past
At the time, Cuomo's spokesperson had dismissed the allegations as "tabloid fodder". According to Shnayerson's latest article, "On more than one night during that period, Kerry slept in a locked bathroom, according to a source close to the family, who recounted instances of physical abuse. "I've been a human rights activist, and for women who have abusive husbands," Kerry told a friend, "and here I am enduring this abuse.""
Adding that Cuomo refused to move out or respond to his wife's lawyers as the proceedings were ongoing, Shnayerson made some more revelations. Kerry had announced that the couple was getting an "amicable divorce", but fearing negative public opinion, a threat to his political career and "to punish her", Cuomo allegedly leaked to the press that she had an affair with a "Republican polo player". During this time, he was making her life "miserable" by "constantly sticking it to her". For instance, refusing to make Christmas plans until December despite sharing the responsibility of their daughters, twins Mariah and Cara, and Michaela.
In a statement, Cuomo's team said: "The divorce was over 15 years ago and was tabloid fodder for weeks with all sorts of untrue rumors circulating. Time has proven them all false. Andrew is a great father, and his daughters will be the first to say that Kerry and Andrew have been great co-parents — and time showed those who spread the rumors were actually the problem."
A bully
One Kennedy sibling revealing to Shnayerson about the family's relationship with the governor said, "We tried to be gracious, but… it turned on his lack of humanity. That’s where I started to think, This is a bad guy. He’s just a bully."
The writer goes on to elaborate on how Cuomo was a "bully" even back when he was serving as an assistant secretary at Housing and Urban Development. According to Shnayerson, "If you were unprepared, if you could not answer his questions, he looked at you like you were a moron." They reportedly said, "He might not criticize you to your face.. .but he would rap you when you left the room. When you’re a bully, you insult people to their faces. This was to the back."
In the article, Shnayerson writes about how he started work on his Cuomo biography 'The Contender' back in 2012 and published it in 2015 — a direct rival to the governor's own book 'All Things Possible'.
